Photographic Society of America


The club is a member of the Photographic Society of America, an international organization with individual and club memberships. As a member the club may participate in international club competitions. (You must join separately to participate as an individual member.) The club participates in the pictorial print division. The pictorial print division has five subdivisions; Large Monochrome prints, Small Monochrome prints, Large Color prints and Small Colored prints., (small prints are to be no larger than 8.5 by 12; and large can not exceed 16 x 20): and Created: Altered Reality.

Rules for PSA Competition

On the back of each print needs to be : 
  • Title the print (do not use a title that you have used previously)
  • Identify the subdivision of the print (i.e. Large Monochrome prints, Small Monochrome prints, Large Color prints, Small Colored prints or Created: Altered Reality) Enter only one print per category 
  • Beginning April 2012 we are to submit a digital in addition to the hard copy we now submit. The digital image needs to produce quality 4x6 images.1800x1200 pixels 300dpi. Just simply email me (Billdee1013@comcast.net) the digital copy which would make it easier to place it on a disc and send with the prints.  If I do not receive a digital file of the hard copy image it will not enter it into competition.
Prints should be un-mounted . The total size of the print cannot exceed 16x20 inches.
All prints and slides must be the original work (including printing) of the photographer.
Entries are unclassified and can be taken any place any time (no time limit). 
Travel PSA should be unique from standard PSA in that it portrays a particular region.
